HERE AM I BOARD

President Melvin Taylor

The Here Am I Board was organized in 1925 under Rev. J. A. Irving's administration by a group of ladies who were serving as stewards in the church. The name was selected as the result of a statement from the presiding elder who referred to them as the "Here Am I Ladies."

The purpose of the Here Am I Board is to assist with the social, spiritual, mental, and financial support of the church. The organization is now open to men, and they support seven ministries in the church. They celebrate their anniversary on the fourth Sunday in January. Their theme is "Building a caring church where dedication to Christ is not a one-time choice but a daily challenge."
